lash lift & tint

What is a lash lift and tint?

A lash lift is a technique designed to give you longer-looking lashes without the need for lash extensions. It will look as if you used a really good eyelash curler. A tint is applied to make your lashes appear darker and more prominent. It is an easy way to instantly brighten and open up the eye area.

How long do they last?

A lash lift and tint typically last 6-8 weeks but can vary from person to person and depend on the natural lash cycle. There is no maintenance appointments in between but you will need to have the process repeated every 6-8 weeks to lift the new hair growth. There are some situations that may cause the lift to drop/weaken prematurely such as swimming, use off harsh products or heat.  If you find that your lift does not last the full 2 months, you can repeat the treatment after a minimum of 4 weeks of having the initial treatment, but not before.

What is the difference between lash extensions and a lash lift?

Lash extensions is a procedure that adds individual faux mink lashes to the natural lash to create longer and fuller lashes. Lash lifts is simply curling your natural lashes. For most, lash lift can make your lashes appear fuller because they are so uplifted.

How long does it take to get a lash lift done?

The procedure takes about 45 to 60 mins to complete.

Can I wear makeup with a lash lift?

Yes! Although we don’t recommend wearing waterproof/oil based mascara or oil based products; it will shorten the life of your lash lift and tint.

Will a lash lift damage my natural lashes?

No! The chemical procedure used in the lash lift is safe for and gentle on your natural lashes. You may experience some redness around the eye immediately after the process, however this will be from the pressure of the pads and should disappear within a few minutes.

What should I do before my appointment?

Before your appointment, make sure that there is no eye makeup or excess product such as moisturiser around your eye area. The area should be as clean as possible.

If your go-to mascara is waterproof, you should avoid this a couple of days before your lash extensions. Otherwise, this may interfere with the application.

Furthermore, you shouldn’t come to the appointment wearing contact lenses as these cannot be in place during the treatment. This is because it will make it harder in the event that anything gets in your eye during the treatment.
